Renewed strength • Sustainable habits • Setting God-led goals
The beginning of a new year can create both excitement and pressure. We feel the urge to “start strong,” fix everything at once, or finally become the version of ourselves we’ve envisioned. But Isaiah 40:31 reminds us that renewal doesn’t start with our effort—it starts with our hope in the Lord.
Eagles don’t soar because they flap harder; they soar because they rise on the wind that carries them. In the same way, God invites you into a season where His strength—not your striving—becomes your lift. As you enter this new year, resist the urge to hustle in your own power. Instead, anchor your hope in Him and let His presence reshape your pace.
Renewed strength isn’t about doing more; it’s about doing what God is leading you to do. Sustainable habits grow from a heart that is aligned with Him. Goals become meaningful when they are surrendered to His wisdom. When you trust Him to lead your year, you’ll find the stamina to walk, run, and even soar in ways you couldn’t on your own.
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
— Isaiah 40:31
